Quick Facts About Depression

Below are some of the signs that you are experiencing major depression.

1.       You feel like an observer of your life: Instead of actively making choices you surrender to what is going on around you. You lose control of your life as the world moves on.

2.       You can’t get out of bed. You may really want to get up but can’t just bring yourself to.

3.       Social isolation: You feel isolated and lose that sense of belonging

4.       Crippling exhaustion: You find it so hard to do the things that you normally enjoy and even the simplest of tasks become an uphill exercise. Depression consumes so much of your energy that you become perpetually fatigued

5.       Overcrowded mind: Your thoughts race and you have no way to turn your mind off and relax. The sad part is that the thoughts are  majorly negative

6.       Stigma and guilt make you feel ashamed and only increase the negative self-thought.

7.       Wanting to stay in the dark: You don’t open your curtains, you don’t want to turn on the lights. Even you mind feels dark and you can’t see anything good in life
